Bruce Berger

Before joining Atlantic Investment Management in 2005, extensive expertise in the financial services sector included the role of Chief Financial Officer with a $4 billion credit focused asset management firm, the Controller of a self clearing brokerage, asset management and structured products firm and as a Manager at Arthur Andersen.  Extensive accomplishments in these various roles are the result of an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Financial/Operations management, legal and regulatory compliance, investor relations and business development and information technology.   Successes in the area of risk management include an instrumental role in designing and implementing an IT infrastructure for risk reporting and control.  Demonstrating organizational skills, industry expertise and being responsive to the needs of management, clients and regulators has been a priority, further contributing to his value as a financial leader.  In addition to being Certified Public Accountant and a member of the AICPA, Bruce has held other licenses including Series 7, 27 and 63.  Continuing professional development includes meeting and working with other industry visionaries as a founding board member of the Hedge Fund CFO organization and the New York Hedge Fund networking group, demonstrating a desire to continually learn about innovations and advances in the field. 

                                                                            
   

Cyrus Borzooyeh
CFO

Cyrus Borzooyeh has been the Chief Financial Officer of Reservoir Capital Group since January 2010. From February to December 2009, Mr. Borzooyeh was a consultant to Reservoir focused on implementing certain technologies to create operational efficiencies. Prior to joining Reservoir, Mr. Borzooyeh was a Partner and Chief Financial Officer of Cyrus Capital Partners, L.P. from 2005 to 2009. Before joining Cyrus Capital, Mr. Borzooyeh was the Chief Financial Officer of King Street Capital Management, L.L.C from 2000 to 2005. Mr. Borzooyeh’s first private sector position was as a fund accountant at Tiger Management, L.L.C. from 1998 to 2000. Previous to that, Mr. Borzooyeh was at KPMG Peat Marwick LLP (now known as KPMG LLP) in their Financial Services line of business, where his experience included auditing mutual funds, common trust funds, and collective investment funds, as well as consulting financial services clients. Mr. Borzooyeh began his career at Goldstein Golub Kessler and Company, P.C. (now merged into McGladrey & Pullen LLP), a public accounting firm, where he spent approximately half of his time on hedge fund clients. 
Mr. Borzooyeh graduated magna cum laude with a B.S. in Accounting from Binghamton University and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Mr. Borzooyeh currently serves on the Binghamton University School of Management Dean’s Metro Advisory Board and on the New York hedge fund chapter of the Financial Executives Alliance’s advisory board (formerly known as the Hedge Fund CFO Association). He has been a member of both boards since 2008.

   

Nicholas Botta
CFO

Pershing Square Capital Mgmt, LP

Nicholas Botta is the Chief Financial Officer of Pershing Square Capital Management, L.P., a registered investment advisor with approximately $9 billion under management.  Prior to joining Pershing Square, Mr. Botta was the controller and then chief financial officer of Gotham Partners Management Co., LLC from 2000-2003 and prior to that he worked at Deloitte & Touche LLP and Richard A. Eisner & Co., LLP as an auditor of companies in the financial services industry with a focus on investment managers and broker dealers.  Mr. Botta graduated from Bernard Baruch College in 1996 with a degree in accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Duncan Huyler
CFO
Boodell & Company Capital Mgmt, LLC
 


Duncan has held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Boodell & Company, an Asia focused long-short hedge fund manager, since October 2011. He is responsible for all back office, finacial and support functions including operations, portfolio & partnership accounting, compliance, human resources and technology. Prior to joining Boodell & Company, Duncan was CFO for 360 Global Capital, long-short global, industry-centric hedge fund manager, from 2008 to 2011 and Thesis Capital Management, a long-short consumer hedge fund manager, from 2005 to 2008. Previously he served as Vice President, Operations and Technical Services for Media Sciences International, Inc. (NASDAQ:MSII). While there he was a member of the ASTM F05 committee on business imaging products and authored ASTM F2406-04.
Duncan’s previous professional experience includes Cadapult Graphic Systems: Director, Technical Services, Lord & Taylor: Director, Advertising Systems, The May Department Stores Company: Senior Financial Analyst and the United States Army where he attained the rank of Captain, Corps of Engineers.
Currently Mr. Huyler serves on the Board of Directors of the New York Hedge Fund Group of the Financial Executives Alliance as well as Friends of Karen, a charity that provides emotional, financial and advocacy support to children with life-threatening illnesses and their families. Additionally, he was a founding member of the Children’s Cancer Research Fund of New York Medical College, as well as chairing the Intercollegiate/Interscholastic committee of the United States Polo Association.  Duncan received an M.B.A. from the University of Louisville, and a B.S. from Cornell University. 

Dan Levinson

Daniel M. Levinson is a Partner, Chief Operating Officer & Chief Financial Officer at Atalaya. Over the past 30 years, Mr. Levinson has held senior level finance and operations positions at various financial institutions with extensive experience in accounting and portfolio management systems integration and implementation, regulatory procedures, tax planning and operations management.
Before joining Atalaya early in the Firmʹs inception, Mr. Levinson was the Chief Operating Officer at Oracle Investment Management, a $1 billion health care hedge fund and private equity firm and a Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer at Morgens, Waterfall, Vintiadis & Co., a hedge fund and private equity manager specializing in leveraged loans, special situations and distressed debt. At Morgens Waterfall, he was also responsible for managing a number of turnaround situations in various industries. Mr. Levinson also served as a Vice President at Sentinel Real Estate (formerly Smith Barney real estate group). Mr. Levinson began his career at KPMG Peat Marwick as a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Levinson received a BS in Accounting from Lehigh University.

George Roeck

Charter Bridge Capital Management LP


George Roeck is the COO and CFO of Charter Bridge Capital Management, L.P., which manages a long/short equity hedge fund with a focus on consumer-related companies. George joined Charter Bridge from Agamas Capital Management, L.P., a multi-strategy hedge fund manager, where he was a Managing Director, CFO and CCO.  Prior to Agamas, he was a Vice President and Director of Administration and Tax Services with The Bank of New York, overseeing financial reporting, compliance and tax services for $250 billion in third-party assets. At BNY, he was also CFO of the $12 billion BNY Hamilton Fund complex and the Ivy Multi-Strategy Hedge Fund, a registered fund-of-funds. George has significant private investment fund experience, having served as CFO for Greenbridge Group, a M&A advisory boutique and a related venture capital fund as well as CFO of GSC Partners, a multi-billion dollar private equity firm, which specialized in leveraged buyouts, distressed investing, mezzanine investing and CDOs. George joined GSC after 11 years as a tax consultant at Arthur Andersen supporting financial services industry clients. He is a CPA and an Attorney.

   

Brain Tsai
COO & CCO
IMC Asset Management


Mr. Tsai is the New York COO and CCO to IMC Asset Management, a multi-strategy fund based in Amsterdam and New York.  From 2006 to early 2011, he was the COO/CCO to Equinox Partners, a $2 billion global long/short fund with a large exposure in the emerging markets.  As a result of counterparty risk management in 2007 he coordinated to move roughly half the fund assets from its prime brokerage platform to a global custodian, not knowing what ensued shortly after.  With the MFA and the Department of Treasury, he participated in the discussions with the Securities Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to also allow CFTC registration as a prerequisite to obtaining FII licenses.  Prior to Equinox, Mr. Tsai was a part of the portfolio management team in private banking at JP Morgan and Bank of America.  He is a frequent speaker at conferences for MFA, GAIM, II/Alpha Hedge, Regulatory Compliance Association, and FRA LLC.  Mr. Tsai graduated from Duke University (BS, BA) and Johns Hopkins University (MA).  He sits on the board of HFCFO.org as well as various nonprofit organizations, serves on the Duke University admissions committee for NY, and volunteers in Harlem.  His golf handicap is a constant reminder that his aspirations should remain in the alternatives space.
